[LISTEN] Camila Cabello Releases Debut Single "Crying in the Club"

Her Fifth Harmony days may be over but Camila Cabello is ready to continue alone as a solo artist.

Since the surprise announcement of her departure from Fifth Harmony, the singer has been working on recording her debut album since the start of the year expected to be released sometime this year through Epic Records. On Monday, the Cabello announced the title of her album "The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving." along with her debut single would be released on Friday in a heartfelt open letter to fans via Twitter, explaining how the album is her story of her "journey from darkness to light" from a time when she was lost to a time where she had found herself again. The following day the title of her debut single 'Crying in the Club' was revealed along with the cover art.

Speaking upon her debut album, Cabello announced the second single "I Have Questions" revealing she had written the song just over a year and a half ago while she was on tour with Fifth Harmony at a time where she felt completely broken. The singer will perform the track for the very first time on Sunday as an encore exclusively for Xfinity X1 customers after she has performed at the Billboard Music Awards.

Production credits have already surfaced for 'Crying in the Club', showing Cabello is not messing around. One of the biggest names in music Sia (listed by her full name Sia Furler) is included as one of the eight credited writers including Stephen Kipner, Nathan Perez, and Cabello herself.

Fun fact: If you think the song's chorus may sound familiar, 'Crying in the Club' samples Christina Aguilera's 1999 hit song 'Genie in a Bottle'.
